This Tea is fast becoming our staff’s favorite. Beautifully formed buds open to a full velvety crimson bloom very similar to that of a cameilia. 'Francis Dubreuil' is thought to be one of the darkest Teas and is considered to be our only true red Tea. The plant is robust and very remontant.

Small, rounded, apple-green leaves and large corymbs of brilliant carmine-pink little roses decorate ‘Gabrielle Privat’s’ bushy, mounding shrub. This rose mixes very nicely with ‘The Fairy’ in plantings. It has a similar form and bloom habit, but contrasting colors. It is also outstanding on its own or as a mass of color in a border.

 Grandma’s Red is a repeat blooming compact rose to 3 feet perfect for the small border or even better for use in a container. Old fashioned red fragrant flowers are very full, prolific in number, and repeating spring thru fall. The deep red color is softened with companions of pink and white flowers or for a hot contrast mixed with yellow and orange flowering perennials and annuals. Rose shows great tolerance to disease and is cold-hardy into zone 5.

Bred from the famous white Hybrid Perpetual ‘Frau Karl Druschki’, ‘Grüss an Aachen’ is believed to be the original rose that began the Floribunda class. Flat, 3 inch flowers nearly cover a 3 feet tall, bushy plant. The buds are colorful, with tints of orange-red and yellow, but the flowers open pale pink and fade to creamy white with a light hint of fragrance. Like all Floribundas,'Grüss an Aachen' is everblooming throughout the season.

'Happenstance’ is a miniature version of the species rose, ‘Mermaid’. It has light yellow single flowers on a small leafed but compact plant. Not  invasive like its cousin, ‘Mermaid’ and the fact that it is always so clean, ‘Happenstance’ is a useful plant in any garden.

This lavender-pink, fragrant 'Hermosa' rose is double, cupped, and beautifully shaped; many rosarians suspect Bourbon influence in its breeding. It was long popular as a container plant for European window gardens and its low, compact form is well suited for any small garden or for a massed effect in a larger border.

Either an early miniature or a relative of the old R. chinensis minima, "Highway 290 Pink Buttons" has been found across Central and South Texas. The very double, one inch wide rosy-pink blossoms are produced constantly on a petite bush that responds well to pruning. A slow starter in the spring, "Pink Buttons" makes a fine little border or pot plant by mid-summer and continues to look good through the fall.

Peter Harkness describes this rose as "one of the most popular and widely admired roses, and certainly the best known white Floribunda." ‘Iceberg’s’ lovely- shaped, clustered blooms of white may appear light pink in the cooler months and are wonderful for cutting. The bush is well rounded and is used frequently for hedging. After witnessing this rose’s performance in the garden, we can understand why it is a design staple.

'Icecap'™ is a very small plant that has double white flowers that open from pale pink buds. The shrub is heavy with foliage, compact in size, and usually very full of flowers. An ideal candidate for border plantings or in containers.

'Jane Bullock' is a small cascading bush of three feet and is best used to brighten borders or in containers. The three inch wide yellow-pink, fragrant flowers are produced with abundance. The repeat bloom and carefree habit makes this an outstanding selection to include in our "Pioneer Series." This rose was named for a very active supporter of the arts in Brenham, TX.

Small, two inch pink tinged, yellow, fragrant flowers are abundant on this small, upright shrub. The breeding lines of 'Joe Woodard' are from disease resistant Wichuriana, ‘The Fairy’ for its cold hardiness and ‘Yellow Baby Love’ which influenced its color. As a result, this rose named after one of the original Texas Rose Rustler is clean, hardy and colorful.

'Katharina Zeimet' was raised by Peter Lambert of Germany, who crossed 'Marie Pavie' with another Polyantha. Exceptionally neat, dark green foliage and small, double, scented white flowers and constant bloom make it particularly desirable in the landscape or as a container plant.

'Kirsten Poulsen' grows in a whiskey barrel at our display gardens and, when it is in bloom, several visitors have offered to buy it on the spot! Abundant displays of vivid reddish pink, single flowers are seen throughout the season. The bush is erect and is covered in bright green foliage.

The perfect hedge plant, 'La Marne' is a neat, erect bush heavily covered with healthy, shiny leaves which reblooms heavily. The flowers are borne in loose clusters of open pink and white cups that are showy and attractive at close range or at a distance. 'La Marne' prefers open, sunny areas with good air circulation.

Libbie' was named after Elizabeth Winston Mize. The pure white color of this rose is both radiant and soft in the garden depending on the exposure of light. This rose is appropriately named for this soft spoken gardening lady devoted to the field of educational horticulture.

Also known as 'Stella Dallas', this Ralph Moore miniature is a true treasure. This trouble-free rose blooms constantly with small, double, scarlet flowers with pointed petals that show a base of white. The lightly apple-scented flowers of 'Little Buckaroo' are a nice contrast to the dark green foliage on this neat and sturdy bush.

'Ma Perkins' is a rose that has been used extensively in hybridizing programs since it was released, the 1950's. There is of course a reason for this. Being one of the original Floribundas, 'Ma Perkins' possesses an abundance of almost bourbon-like blooms graced with with strong fragrance. Indeed the number of blooms is so great that some even refer to Ma as a "Hybrid Polyantha." Some interesting facts are that it is "nearly" thornless, and it was used by David Austin to breed 'Wife of Bath' and several other English Roses.

'Madame Laurette Messimy' has clusters of rounded buds that open to soft, salmon-pink, semi-double flowers with a touch of yellow at the base of the petals. Gifted with a true rose fragrance, this rose is ideal for growing in a pot where it can be easily appreciated. Strong sun burns off the fragrant oils, so make sure to "stop and smell the roses" during the morning hours.

'Marie Daly' is one of the best white Polyanthas out there, and an Earth-Kind® rose no less. Originating as a sport of 'Marie Pavié', you would think there wouldn’t be much difference, between the two. Surprisingly though, 'Marie Daly' is much more disease resistant and a better overall rose.

We have seen this versatile and handsome rose used as a border, pot plant, specimen, or low hedge. Sweetly-shaped, pale pink buds unfold to creamy white, semi-double flowers of delicious fragrance. 'Marie Pavie' is sure to be a favorite with all who grow it. It is almost constantly in bloom and the wonderful scent permeates the garden on warm days. The foliage is a dark, rich, healthy green and the thornless stems of 'Marie Pavie' make this rose an outstanding landscape plant.
