This rose was named after the Dallas rosarian who devoted a lifetime of service to the Dallas Area Historical Rose Society and the First Men's Garden Club of Dallas. In his book, The Foolproof Guide to Growing Roses, Field says, "Roses are the most varied and versatile of all landscape plants because of the many species and huge number of individual cultivars." This rose, 'Field Roebuck' is a perfect tribute to a great gardener. The fragrant flowers are a beautiful blend of orange, pink and yellow. The carefree shrub is rather upright and can be used as a specimen plant or as a hedge.
