We're excited to bring the TinkerGarten program to our garden-loving community!

Designed for kids ages 11/2 to 8, TinkerGarten offers fun, hands-on learning experiences right in the great outdoors. While enjoying our beautiful Nursery & Display Gardens, kids can explore, play, and connect with nature, all while benefiting from increased time outside. 🌞

From discovering the wonders of plants and insects to enjoying imaginative play, TinkerGarten fosters a lasting connection to nature, all while helping little ones grow and learn.

Come join us on Fridays for some outdoor fun and watch your child blossom!

More Information

Lesson icons 7October 18th | Our Senses

We’ll discover a series of hidden sensory activity cards as we walk about—one for each of our 7 senses. As we play, we’ll explore how our senses help us feel balanced and focused.

Lesson icon 8October 25th | The Way We Play

Today we’ll open our treasure box and offer kids ways to play that activate various behavioral schema (i.e. transforming, trajectory, rotation, connecting, transporting). We’ll explore how these play patterns support our focus.

Parents MUST stay with their children at all times during this workshop, drop-offs are not allowed This workshop is approximately 1 hour long, (sometimes more or less) depending on the number of students attending and the activity featured.

You're welcome to stay as long as needed to complete the activities.

Past Events

Lesson icon 5October 4th | Stone Stories

From fossils to the layers we find inside rocks, stones can tell us stories about the earth where we live and play. We’ll offer kids four ways to explore stones: lizard rocks, rock washing, stacking/arranging, and excavating.

Lesson icon 6October 11th | Weather Walk

Today we’ll zoom out to focus on something that is always around and always changing—the weather! With the help of printed weather cards, a few props, and our imaginations, we’ll go on a “weather walk” and practice adjusting to the weather.
