'Firecracker' Kolorscape is a refreshing and colorful addition to any landscape.

This compact mounding shrub is loaded with brightly colored orange and yellow blooms from Spring until a hard frost. The lightly fragrant roses are semi-double and when the blooms fully open the pollinators move in for a feast. We also love the dark red colored canes as well as the red edged serrated leaves.

Firecracker™ Kolorscape® is stunning used in the landscape in a mass planting with its bronzed new growth and glossy green foliage adorned with vividly colored roses. As a specimen or container plant, this rose will POP! Moderately sized, this rose averages 3-4’ tall and 2.5 - 3’ wide and is very heat tolerant and blackspot resistant.

Kordes produced ‘Alchymist’ by crossing a R. eglanteria hybrid with the large-flowered climber, ‘Golden Glow’. The result is a fat, swirled, billowy bloom in mixed shades of yellow, apricot, peach, and gold; a flower that is visually compatible with old roses of almost all colors on a plant that is carefree and disease resistant. ‘Alchymist’ blooms in the Spring with a display of floral wealth that almost makes one believe its roses have been transmuted into gold.

The erect habit, rounded leaves, and thornless stems of 'Basye's Blueberry' make it look quite similar to a blueberry bush, especially when the leaves begin to take on their fall color. Bright pink, semi-double fragrant flowers with bright yellow stamens add to the appeal. This plant represents one of the stepping stones toward Dr. Robert Basye’s goal of thornless, disease-free roses.

Gifted with many names because of its continued popularity ("Russells Cottage", "Scarlet Grevillea", "Old Spanish Rose", "Souvenir de la Bataille de Marengo") this hybrid of R. multiflora is in a class by itself. The very double, medium-size flowers of crimson mauve fading to lilac cover the bush in color each Spring. The scent is Damask, and the foliage is quite distinct- large, rich blue-green, deeply veined, and unmistakable. 'Russelliana' has been grown as a shrub, a climber, and as a pillar rose.

Perfect for container planting and landscape bordering, what this small beauty lacks in size, it makes up for with it’s bold and unique colorations! With an average bloom size of 1.5” cupped single flowers, this rose bursts with a huge variability of contrasting colors! Dark pink centers distinctly gleam against a very light pink middle petal, with a light flush of pink at the petal tips. Blooming in flushes through the season, blooms can fade to almost white in hot weather. With little to no fragrance, this rose is not a producer of hips, but it’s compact 2x3’ sized plant does tout nearly thornless stems with clean medium-green foliage. It has shown to be disease resistant and best in zones 5-11.
